Oversikt

Vigor 5510 er ganske lik Vigor 2955, men har i tillegg mulighet for Antivirus og Antispam i selve ruteren.

Dette er altså en ruter velegnet for de som ønsker anti-intrution, spamfilter og antivirus innebygd i firewallen. Tilbyr du internettilgang til PC’er utover din egen kontroll, f eks cafeer, hybler eller andre gjestenettverk, vil ruteren oppdage  og blokkere maskiner med virus eller andre ulumskheter.  På denne måten beskyttes både eget nett, og selve internettlinjen fra å bli stengt av leverandøren.

 

VPN funksjon har kapasitet til å ha 200 samtidige tilkoblinger. Tunellene kan settes opp som LAN-to-LAN eller dial-inn VPN ved hjelp av IPSec/PPTP/L2TP og L2TP over IPSec. AES/DES/3DES kryptering støttes, samt MD5/SHA-1 for autentifikasjon.

Dersom man benytter SSL VPN kan man ha 50 samtidige tilkoblinger. Autentisering kan skje via LDAP eller RADIUS.

Ansatte kan med andre ord koble seg til arbeidsplassens nettverk/server for filoverføringer, e-post, database tilgang osv. på en sikker måte.

Vigor 5510 har en funksjonell regelbasert brannmur, med bade IP-layer og Content based beskyttelse. DoS/DDoS detektering og URL/Web filter bidrar til effektiv kontroll og økt sikkerhet for bedriften.
